Greeny was created from the results of a contest that came about to find a good alternative to Reddy Kilowatt, the fossil fuel, energy consuming symbol of power use. There is a need to have an environmentally friendy symbol that shows that there is "Green Energy" being used. Greeny Megawatt is the perfect answer. Greeny was created by Randolph Hoppe.

Just as Greeny represents the Green Energy Devices and Installations, Green Energy also needs a symbol. Most electricity and energy symbols will usually have some sort of red or yellow voltage arrows/bolts going in the clockwise motion.

Green Energy is the saving of plant power energy and/or the making of electricity and putting it into the household/business and back INTO the power grid. This spins the meters backwards in affect and actually does just that with the older meters. So we need a new Green colored symbol spinning in a counter clockwise direction.

Putting a small animation over the Greeny's chest of this new symbol literally looks as though I have given Greeny a beating heart.
